Arvato Systems has built a sovereign cloud infrastructure based on VMware Cloud Foundation for IT service provider kubus IT. The solution aims to make German companies independent from US hyperscalers such as AWS or Azure. Kubus IT can thus offer its customers a cloud environment in which data is processed exclusively in Germany and subject to German law. The project is part of the growing number of sovereign cloud initiatives in the German mid-market.
