Amazon Web Services is expanding its Key Management Services specifically for UK public sector clients. The cloud provider aims to address stricter security requirements from government agencies while strengthening its position in the public sector market. AWS already holds multiple framework agreements with UK central government, including a place on the Crown Commercial Service's Cloud Compute 3 framework. The enhanced encryption services allow departments to maintain cryptographic control over sensitive data while using AWS infrastructure.
